The Honourable Senator Simons, Deputy Chair of the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry, informed the Senate that, pursuant to the orders adopted by the Senate on February 10, 2022, and September 27, 2022, the committee deposited with the Clerk of the Senate on October 27, 2022, its sixth report (interim) entitled Treading Water: The impact of and response to the 2021 British Columbia floods.—Sessional Paper No. 1/44-1285S.

That the Standing Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade be authorized to examine and report on the situation in Lebanon and determine whether Canada should appoint a special envoy, when and if the committee is formed; and

That the committee submit its final report no later than February 28, 2022.

That the Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Commerce and the Economy be authorized to meet on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., to hear from the Governor of the Bank of Canada, even though the Senate may then be sitting and that rule 12-18(1) be suspended in relation thereto.
